This collection contains articles and books related to Dr. Thomas E. Ross’s research on Southeastern geography, Carolina Bays, and the Pleistocene age in relation to its impact on the Southeast region. Dr. Ross has published numerous articles on the natural phenomena of Carolina Bays as well as an annotated bibliography spanning from 1844-2000. Graduating from Marshall University with a BA in 1968 as well as a MS in 1969, Dr. Ross gained his Ph.D. in Geography from the University of the Tennessee at Knoxville in 1977. Since retiring from his role as a professor at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, Ross received the title of Professor Emeritus from the university for his work in the Geology and Geography department.
